Interviewee: Mr. Mansour Mneikher Al Marri

This interview was conducted by Ms. Malek Helali. She interviewed Mr. Mansour Mneikher Al Marri, a Qatari born in 1939 and the interview compares the contrasting lifestyle of old Qatar with new. It covers the basic aspects of Bedouin life such as food, travel and family relations back when there were little creature comforts available and life in the desert was really harsh. 
 

Al-Zubarah is one of Qatar’s most important historical sites that is still standing and well preserved. It was built between the 18th and 19th century and is located on the northern part of Qatar. It holds one of Qatar’s most valuable piece of history and culture.
